Our Guarantee
At Danielle Décor, our goal is to create beautiful homes. We strive to bring you 100% satisfaction with your order. If there is any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, send the letters back and we will refund your order excluding shipping charges. There are many ways to ensure that what you order is what you want.
Making Choices
We use true type fonts for all our web orders, so the font you see on the screen is the font you will get. In some cases, we will stretch or compress the font in order to create a better fit. True type fonts were designed to be manipulated without changing their integrity. In all cases, we will stay as true to the original font as possible.
If you are unsure of the vinyl lettering color to pick, we will be happy to send you free samples of our colors. Please send us an e-mail requesting samples for any color(s) with your mailing address and we will mail the samples promptly. We have tried to provide true color swatches to your screen, but because all monitors are different, color will vary.
If you ever have questions or special instructions, you can always send an e-mail to danni@danielledecor.com and we will answer your questions promptly.
Shipping
Each order is a custom made product, so our goal is to have it ready to ship out within eight business days (or sooner) from when the order was placed. We try to keep our shipping costs low and simple. Shipping costs are based on order sales amounts. Shipping for all custom-made boards is a flat rate of $8 per board. If you spend $1-$50 on wall phrases add $5 for shipping, anything above $50 add 10% of your total order for shipping. If you buy wall phrases and boards in one order, add the shipping charges together.
Payment
We accept Colorado personal checks, money orders and Paypal. If you choose to pay by Colorado personal check or money order, we will begin designing your order right away, but we will not send it until we have received payment. If you send the Colorado personal check or money order the same day you place the order, we should be able to uphold our policy to send your order within eight days of placement. For all other customers who use Paypal, you can be assured that your personal information will remain secure and private. We will never sell or give client information to any other company. Paypal is one of the largest and most secure internet payment services.
Vinyl Lettering
We use high-quality vinyl with adhesive backing to create your unique wall phrases. It is rated for seven years in outdoor exposure, and almost unlimited endurance for indoor use. Sun and wind exposure will weather the vinyl more quickly. To clean the vinyl letters, use a damp cloth and very gently wipe around the letters. If treated delicately, the lettering will add beauty and style to your home for many, many years.
How to Install Vinyl Lettering
1. Apply to smooth, clean surface. Words can be cut apart and stacked in rows. Taping them lightly in place first will help you plan your layout.
2. The quotes have a clear transfer tape on one side and backing paper (white and shiny) on the other. Before peeling the back paper off, rub the surface of the clear tape to insure that the quote is adhered to the clear tape.
3. Use a level and measure where you wish to place the quote. With the vinyl backing against the wall, place the quote on the wall. If you have a long quote, sometimes it is easier to install if you cut the quote every few feet (with the backing still on). Place tape on the top of the quote, adhering it to the wall in the position you want it.
4. Use the tape as a hinge and lift the quote to pull of the viny backing. What should remain is the clear tape and lettering. Smooth the letters and tape against the wall. Use a credit card or fingernails to carefully rub out any air bubbles and press the letters to stick to the wall.
5. Carefully peel back the transfer tape. It works better if you peel it back at an angle. This should allow the vinyl letters to stick to the wall. If they have trouble sticking, press the letters into the wall with your finger and try to pull the tape off again.
To Remove the letters:
Use a pair of tweezers to pull the letters off the wall. If they are sticking to the paint, use a hairdryer and lightly heat up the words, and they will peel off easily.
